Emerging Technologies #2

For my 2nd Emerging Technology assignment, I decided to finally give YouTube a try. While I watch YouTube videos all the time, I have never uploaded anything. YouTube is a site that allows users to share videos on just about anything you can think of. Billions of people upload home made movies, music videos, documentary’s, shows, actual movies, you name it. The videos can be shared with the world or just family and friends, if that’s what you prefer. You can search for a specific topic or browse through top rated hits. Favorite videos can be saved right to your personal account for easy access. Another great thing about YouTube is that you can upload videos straight from your phone. Every person uses YouTube in their own way. For me, it’s useful because I live so far from my family, and I just had a daughter. Now I can upload videos of her right from my iPhone. It’s simple to send the link to our family members. I could even upload my video to my Facebook if I wanted to. It’s definitely a user friendly site, with step by step directions. While you are required to have an actual account to upload videos, setting it up was pretty straight forward and easy as well. My advice for anyone using YouTube is to get familiar with your account page. That’s where you will find your favorites and videos that you have uploaded.

Here is my 1st YouTube video that I have ever posted!
Enjoy my 5 month old daughter, Brooklyn, eating Peaches for the 1st time!

  1. You're daughter is gorgeous. My nephew will be a year at the end of June and he makes noises like that, really loud, especially when he shouldn't. But she is so adorable. And I have had baby peaches, they smell awful but don't taste as bad as they smell.
